Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who became famous in the 90s as Hugh Grant's girlfriend was a former English model. When Grant was the center of attention for the media due to his worldwide box office success with Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in the black plunged Versace gown held together by silver safety pins. Her appearance gained immediate fame in the media. Hurley's partnership in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics producer, is regarded as the pinnacle of her career. Hurley got the first model contract she was offered at age 29, and she's employed to model Estee Lauder's products since the year 1995. Vanessa Kensington is her best known role from The Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me Both of which became hugely popular. Hurley is the owner of an eponymous swimming brand and also models the brand. Perry's attempts at popularity in the mainstream were unsuccessful. Before any new material was released two labels signed, then removed Perry. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The track that was the title track was a jolly and sly track that received little notice. I Kissed a Girl, a confident tribute to her fascination with sexuality set against a hard-edged electronic-pop beat, was a big impact a few months later. The song quickly stirred debate as some critics accused it for promoting same-sex relations while others claimed that the racy scenario the song depicted sparked male fantasies of sexuality in females. The combination of sensuality, polished music and a catchy tune helped it become a top-ten hit across a range of countries. The result was the album The One of the Boys (2007) being a big success. Its bouncy, sharp-tongued and bouncy song, the second Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of which Perry composed herself, eventually saw greater than 3 million copies across the United States.
